Hace Calor (It's hot)

Ooooh child, this heat just makes me want to shake my jelly every chance I get.

How's the summer heat treating y'all? Remember to keep hydrated because according to the weather peeps, this will last until June.

Ugggggggggh.

Today's post will be about some recent products I discovered to help me keep my sanity in this heat.

Lemme begin with these godsend moisturizing products. Just because it's hot doesn't mean you should stop moisturizing. Remember, the heat increases the cause for dry skin.

I discovered Bench Organics Bamboo & Green Tea body lotion. I've never been so happy that they actually came out a line for this scent because I was a huge fan of the Bamboo & Green Tea EDT that I got way back in 2011.

Buzz Lightyear & Woody wish they could use this

Reasonably priced at Php135.00, it smells fresh (I like to use this after my "morning" shower before going to work at 3am) and it's non-sticky. Plus you can actually close the nozzle again, unlike other pump bottles that once opened. you wouldn't be able to twist it the other way around to close it. And it's doesn't take up too much space on your bag. Very ideal for those out of town trips you've got planned so you don't have to lug around a big bottle.

The second product I discovered was Johnson's Baby Cooling Gel Lotion. Also in the same price range as Bench's Bamboo lotion, this one smells better. It's like applying alcogel on your skin, cool, but moisturizing.

Achieve mo ang freshness peg with these chernelyns

I like using both products after showering with Dove's Go Fresh body washes in either Grapefruit & Lemongrass or my eternal favorite Cucumber. If you've noticed with my previous posts - I veer towards scents that are green-based or those that smell fresh rather than the sweet, fruity ones.

Recently, I decided to give BBW's Sea Island Cotton a rest and decided to get Victoria's Secret's Sheer Love. It has fragrances of white cotton and pink lily. So, yes... it DOES have a hint of sweetness in it. But not the saccharine sweetness that just ups the ick factor in this heat.

How about you? How do you deal with the summer heat?
