Meet The New Family Members

As far as I could remember, we've always had dogs in our family. My earliest memory of canine family members was my grandma's Chihuahua - Stella (pictured below).

Apparently, my human-doggie relationships goes waaaay back.

I can't believe my dad was this skinny! Check out the vinyl record, yo.

Mommy's trying to get me to smile at the camera, I guess. Check out my punks not dead hair! Naw, it's naturally like that. lol

BJ and me. Nope, that's NOT a rag.

I remember reading something a few years ago that when a dog turns a year old, it has the mentality of a 2 year old child. So I've always treated our pets like babies. Although expect that dogs can only live up to 12-16 years only. The most heartbreaking thing my parents and I went through would always be the painful decision to put one of our dogs to sleep or if one of them decides to go on to Doggie Heaven.

Anyway, just this summer we decided to adopt two native dogs. At one point during the relocation of the informal settlers who lived at the bottom of our street, some cruel [insert appropriate expletive here] decided to tie two dogs on the our street's name post. By the way, this happened mid-April during one of the hottest days of summer we faced this year. The two dogs had no water or any manner of shade to protect them from the heat. One of them also happened to be pregnant as well.

My dad named the pregnant one Abba (a play on the word "abandonada") and mom decided to call the other one Beauty. On June 27, she gave birth to two puppies. Bubbles and Snowy.

Bubbles is the darker-colored one. Snowy is, well.. do the math.

Snowy during one of their play times.

KNOCK OUT.

zZZZZZzZZZZZ

Bubbles and her canine tooth. Excuse my palo-palo arm.

Snowy with my dad.

They may not be purebred dogs, but they are family. And family means no one gets left behind. :)

Dogs! Dogs! I love em too. I also have mutts. But they're equally lovely as those purebreds. I kind of miss them. =/ They're with my mom in our hometown.
